Traci Payne – Line Dance

I was always that “person” who choreographed the dance routines for our teen talent shows in high school and Non-Greek and Greek shows in college.  I am that “person” that my girlfriends called and asked “what dance were we doing?” on a particular oldie but goodie song.  My love for dance has been in me since childhood.

I am an experienced dancer in line dancing, hip-hop, old-skool, and praise dancing. I truly enjoy teaching line dance. It’s a great way stay up-to-date on the latest line dances as well as have fun and exercise. No experience is needed, just a positive mind and a will to learn.

Jennifer Faircloth Earl – Zumba

I enjoyed ballet, tap, and jazz as a child, but did not find my true passion: Zumba® until three years ago. After being diagnosed with thyroid disease/diabetes and struggling to keep my weight down, my doctor encouraged me to go to the gym. I found out very quickly that the boring old elliptical was just not for me. One day I saw Zumba® on the schedule and thought it sounded fun. I took my first class in June of 2009. After experiencing the salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, and merengue, I became hooked immediately. It has become such a great passion that I has lost 40 pounds and I even became a licensed instructor for Zumba® and Zumbatomic® for ages 4-12.
I am a Texas City native. I have been married to my husband Kyle for 11 years and has two amazing children, Alexis (14) and Kyla (9). My family has been a huge supporter of my Zumba® journey. Come join the party with her so you too can change your life one salsa at a time!

Fendi Kerlegan – Hip Hop and Stiletto Fitness

With 16 years of dance experience, Fendi, affectionately known as, “Fame” is an intricate part of High Praise Dance Ministry and Dance Center.  She is trained and experienced in hip-hop, contemporary, modern, ballet, jazz, tap and African.    She has many notable dance accomplishments that include:

  • Debbie Allen Dance Institute
  • Babara Crow Dance Academy
  • Clear Springs Silverado Drill Team
  • Todah Dance Academy
  • Choreographer for Clear Creek ISD Drill Team
  • Choreographer for National Winning Star Steppers Dance Company
  • Instructor Star Steppers Dance Company
  • 3rd out of 400 as a solo dancer at Crowd Pleaser National Dance Competition
  • Choreographer and Instructor for High Praise

Miss Fame also has a special place in her heart for praise dance and prophetic dance.  Fame uses freedom in the dance as therapy to get through any situation that she may face or any of the many young girls she mentor may face. High Praise possesses a fight and drive that encourages all to praise God through dance.  There is a sisterhood and a bond that binds the ministry and dancers together. Believing that all of God’s children should not live a life of defeat, she pushes everyone that she encounters and it is evident that everything she touches is anointed to grow. Fendi stands firmly on the word of God and her daily affirmation is, “I (we) walk by faith and not by sight.”

Donquetta Simmons – Mime and Praise & Worship

Donquetta has been praise dancing for 14 years.  She loves to incorporate streamers, flags and other instruments of praise into her praise and worship through dance.  Donquetta believes that anyone can praise God but it takes someone with an intimate, love relationship with God to worship Him.  Donquetta works with several church praise dance and mime ministries and founded the Texas Southern University Praise Dance Ministry while studying for her undergraduate degree.  To Donquetta, High Praise is a ministry that taken the restraints off of worship arts and allows an individual to use their entire body to dance before God, encourage His children and give Him honor and adoration.  She believes that anyone can dance but the anointing causes ministry to go forth, destroy yokes and usher in the spirit of God.  Donquetta’s daily faith affirmation is, “In all thy way acknowledge Him and He will direct your path” because she believes, “You are going no where, if you are not following His direction.”
